Risk Manager - Premium Products and Experiences | Retail Bank

As a Risk Manager at Capital One, you'll work with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks. Risk Managers are the front line of defense, ensuring the company's stability and profitability. They collaborate across lines of business and with executives to develop innovative risk mitigation solutions.

In this role, supporting a fast-growing business through the product development lifecycle from ideation to execution, you will help protect our customers and brand.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as liaison with business partners, Tech, legal, and compliance to reduce risks.
2. Lead divisional RCSA assessments, providing risk and mitigation recommendations.
3. Synthesize data, perform analysis, and identify risks and trends.
4. Participate in risk forums and improve risk management practices.
5. Advise business teams on product design, processes, and risk management practices.
6. Contribute to our well-managed agenda and internal governance processes.
7. Assess controls and analyze issues across business areas.
8. Lead projects to improve processes and controls.
9. Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently and collaboratively.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.
2. 3+ years in Financial Services Compliance, Risk Management, or Card Services.
3. 2+ years in Project Management.
4. Experience supporting and partnering with internal business clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master's Degree.
2. 5+ years leading cross-functional risk projects.
3. Experience in an Agile environment.
4. Certifications: CRMA, CRCM, Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, CPM, PMP.
