Bring us your imagination and provide coverage of inpatient psychiatric consultations and ambulatory services in both Article 28 programs and the Physician Pavilion serving a culturally diverse community.
*The chosen Psychiatrist will:*
* Provide inpatient psychiatric consultations in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams as requested by other hospital teams. TBHC does not have an inpatient psychiatry unit. Consultations may be provided via telemedicine.
* Provide outpatient psychiatric consultations including our specified Article 28 sites. Consultations may be provided via telemedicine.
* Evaluate patients, formulate diagnoses, and recommend treatment plans
* Establish and maintain a faculty practice for a minimum of 2 sessions per week. Sessions can be completed via telemedicine.
*The ideal candidate must:*
* Be Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry
* Have graduated from an accredited medical school
* Hold and maintain a current and valid NYS license to practice medicine
* Be eligible for an appointment to the Medical Staff
* Possess a valid and current DEA number
* Have a passionate interest in academics and leadership; prior teaching experience with students and residents is a plus
* Have thorough knowledge of psychological diagnosis, therapeutics, and pharmaceuticals
