The Stanford Health Care and Volunteer & Leader Engagement teams are seeking a Development Associate to support major gift fundraising for Stanford Health Care's hospitals and clinics and leadership engagement efforts. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, and resourceful individual with a strong sense of initiative who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is passionate about making a difference in health care and medicine, this role may be for you. As a self-starter who takes ownership, excels at managing projects, and can adeptly prioritize, you'll provide essential support for two teams that work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including teams within Medical Center Development, Stanford University and Stanford Medicine leadership, Stanford Health Care partners, and other staff. We are looking for someone enthusiastic about patient care and who understands the importance of managing high-level communications and fundraising activities to advance Stanford Medicine's goals.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Stanford Health Care Development and in coordination with the Deputy Chief of Staff, you will play a key role in strategic donor engagement, coordinating and tracking leadership-level interactions, and serving as the central point of contact for managing information and processes across both teams. You will act as a hub for inquiries and projects, ensuring they are either addressed or routed to the appropriate person. In this role, you will be responsible for refining and upholding established procedures, ensuring smooth communication, updating systems and records, and facilitating critical activities, such as high-profile events, donor visits, and leadership meetings. Additionally, you will take on responsibilities that enhance team efficiency and further its development goals, ultimately contributing to the impact of Stanford Medicine.
70% of your time spent on the Stanford Health Care (SHC) Team.
The Development Associate role on the Stanford Health Care (SHC) team provides essential support to the team and directly assists two major gift officers and the Senior Director. This role focuses on tracking and managing complex donor portfolios, facilitating strategic projects, and fostering cross-functional partnerships to advance Stanford Health Care's philanthropic priorities.
30% of your time spent on the Volunteer & Leader Engagement Team.
This position is responsible for managing processes, relationships, and communications by serving as a liaison to the offices of the Dean and CEO, scheduling Dean and CEO meetings and events, fielding a variety of requests, maintaining the meeting/briefing calendar, closely tracking briefings and communications, and, as feasible, other project-based work as a member of the larger Volunteer & Leader Engagement Team.
WORK STANDARDS :
The expected pay range for this position is $89,009 to $100,380 per annum.
