Overview Security Management Resources has partnered with one of the world’s most well-established manufacturers to recruit their new Global Security Director. Dynamic growth and brand expansion has driven the need to design, build and establish a comprehensive, integrated global security program for their facilities around the globe. This role offers an opportunity for a strategic leader to build relationships across all regions and company functions. The position is perfect for a successful, dedicated senior security professional who wants to join a dynamic, well-regarded brand leader and establish an innovative security program. The role is based in the metropolitan Chicago, Illinois, area and requires domestic and international travel on a regular basis. Responsibilities The Global Security Director will lead the creation and implementation of the company’s global security strategy. You will have responsibility for the protection of all organizational assets and operations. Physical security, including access control and oversight of third-party vendor management, will reside in your portfolio. You will be instrumental in fostering business continuity and risk management efforts, teaming with other senior leaders to ensure appropriate crisis response and remediation. Executive leadership will look to you to support travel security and executive protection protocols. You will also ensure that internal controls and global compliance requirements are met while working to ensure supply chain integrity. Experience, Skills and Competencies This role requires US citizenship. Prior law enforcement experience with a federal agency together with a successful transition to the private sector is preferred. Ideally, you should also have a degree from an accredited university and a commitment to ongoing education and learning. A record of progressively more senior responsibilities together with experience managing cross-cultural security and risk resilience teams in a fast-paced, multi-national organization will show you as a collaborative manager. Advanced influencing and relationship management skills are needed, and proficiency in more than one language would be a great plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr Security Management Resources
