Label Coordinator

About Big Machine Label Group:

Job Summary:

As a Label Coordinator at Big Machine Records, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the label, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between various internal departments and external partners. The role will be heavily administrative.

Job Responsibilities:

Promotion & Marketing:

Responsible for all promotion department reports and promo admin including:

  • Daily Morning Report
  • Weekly Tracking Sheets
  • Weekly Travel Update
  • Weekly Singles Report
  • Ticket Grids

Develop an extensive knowledge of all tools utilized in day-to-day operations (Mediabase, Billboard, Luminate)

Assist in organizing events, listening parties, and other promotional activities to generate buzz and engagement around releases.

Project Coordination:

  • Assist in coordinating release schedules and promotional timelines for music releases.
  • Liaise with artists, managers, and internal departments to gather necessary assets and information for releases.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate records and databases related to releases, artists, contact lists, and imprint payment processing.
  • Provide general administrative support to the GM as needed.

Event Coordination:

  • Coordinate events such as label group presentations, album launch parties, live performances, and industry showcases.
  • Work with the other imprints to ensure logistics for events are organized smoothly.

Required Experience:

2+ years of work experience in music industry, preferably in a label or artists management role.

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Passion for music and knowledge of current trends in the industry.

Preferred Skills:

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events or promotional activities.
  • Knowledge of music streaming platforms, terrestrial radio, and marketing in the industry.
  • Familiarities with music licensing, copyright, and royalty structures is desirable.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, but not required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Will train and oversee the BMR intern each semester.

Travel Required:

0-10%
