Title: Field Technician/Glass & Window Installer

Direct Hire Full Time Employee (paid hourly)

2945 Westerville Rd. Columbus, OH 43224

Pay Rate: 18-28/hr

Desired Qualifications:

• 2+ years of construction experience 
• Has their own tools
  • Desired: measuring tape, hammer/mallet, screw drivers, drill (hammer or regular), 5-way, pry bar, etc. 
• Within 20-30 minutes drive time of shop location 
• HS Diploma/GED 
• Valid Ohio drivers license in good standing 
• Steel toed boots 

Plusses for the opening:

• Window construction/glass glazing experience (experience at competitors) 
• Experience installing whole windows and capping 
• Has own glass gloves, glass cutter, suction cup, and tools noted above 
• Experienced cutting glass and mirrors (single strength, double strength, 3/8 inch, ¼ inch)
  • Capability of cutting shapes is a plus but not a need whatsoever 
• Skilled with caulking/caulk joints 

Day to Day:

• United Window is looking for a skilled window technician/glass glazer to join the team. We are a family-owned organization that has been in business for 60+ years. On a day-to-day basis, you will be required to install insulated glass units, install whole windows and mirrors, cut mirror/glass to size, and more. This role requires travel to job sites daily, all local to the Columbus area (utilizing company vehicles). This role offers a $500 bonus after the first 90 days of employment, as well as offering the eligibility for benefits after the first 90 days. This position is a full-time role paying hourly, where overtime is slated to pay out at 1.5x pay rate. Pay aligns to years of experience and direct experience the candidate may have for a role of this nature.
